Major Oil service company seeks a junior petrophysicist


Job scope and responsibility:
Data handling, processing and interpretation of borehole registrations for the oil & gas industry, for which internal training will be provided on the job.
Working within a geological, geophysical and petrophysical group, under senior geoscientist supervision, to provide support to the company’s growing customer base.
In order to help manage and enhance customer relations you will be expected to provide regular follow-up in a timely and professional manner

Qualifications/Competencies:
A University’s degree (Geology, Petroleum engineer or equivalent) with a specialization related to the Petroleum exploration & production activities (for instance Sedimentary geology, Geophysics, Petroleum geology or Petroleum engineering).
Work experience related on petroleum industry services is really beneficial.
Knowledge of log (borehole data) interpretations and petrophysics would be advantageous
Good skills of computer working (UNIX, WIN and DOS) are appreciated.
Good level of written and spoken English.
Communication skill, ‘team player capability’, ability to work under pressure are request.
Service oriented
Knowledge of Italian geology and/or Italian Petroleum industry would be advantageous.

The position is based in our GeoScience Center in San Donato (Milano, Italy)
