VMS-2000 Series Blast Monitoring Seismograph "The New Standard in Vibration Analysis Software"
External Geophone Battery Charger Microphone with stand Seisware analysis software Soft Carrying Case
VMS-2000 System Features Computer or Field Programmable Low Cost and Versatile Highly Reliable Microphone with full height stand Fast Recycle Time Internal Time and Date Low Power Consumption Trigger Mode Operation External Geophones Free Seisware Analysis Software Standard 9-pin RS-232 serial port Easy to use 4-key switch pad 100 Full Waveform storeage Store and view last 96 summary events
VMS-2000 Field Operations The VMS-2000 is configured for operation using the supplied SeisWare program for Windows. The trigger source, trigger level and record time are selected using the SeisWare for Windows Software, and then downloaded to the VMS-2000 unit via the serial port using the included communications cable. The configuration (setup) of the VMS-2000 is stored in non-volatile memory so that the unit can be operated without bringing the PC into a dirty and possible hazardous environment. After connecting the geophone and installing the spikes, turn the VMS-2000 on and press the MONITOR switch. When a vibration or sound land triggers the instrument, the resulting digital data is automatically stored in non-volatile memory on the VMS-2000 and the instrument returns to monitoring the input signals until the trigger level is reached again. After monitoring is finished, press the ENTER key to discontinue monitoring. When convenient, connect the VMS-2000 to your PC and download the data using the Seisware software for permanent storage. The VMS-2000 can also be a stand alone unit, having the ability to recall the last 96 events.
