il meccanismo focale è rappresentato dalla semisfera inferiore.
Quello che dici tu è vero se utilizzi la semisfera superiore...
 Grande..... ad accorgerti con esattezza del mio errore ed a puntualizzare esattamente. Super-grazie Sull'orientamento del meccanismo focale ero sicuro di aver problemi.... Praticamente fino ad ora, li ho visti tutti simmetrici!

in Kamchatka ricomincia lo sciame sismico ad est della penisola che si era fermato quando si è verificato il profondissimo terremoto dell'altro giorno.

Dici che "andranno di traverso" alla subduzione?   il meccanismo focale sembra da "stivale e fango"?

Lì dovresti essere già fuori della confusione. La litosfera oceanica punta dritta a N e l'onda/obduzione indonesiana si apre verso SW.

 6.1 nella zona alle spalle del fronte indonesiano (si chiama retropaese?). Da profano direi che l'onda indonesiana plana di traverso (direzione SW) sulla litosfera oceanica che punta dritta a N verso l'Himalaya. La risultante dei 2 movimenti dovrebbe essere questa bella trascorrenza. Se è come penso dovrebbe essere una trascorrenza sx. Come si riconoscono dal meccanismo focale?
